On Tuesday, May 21st, UFCW Local 152 members at Maryland Plastics in Federalsburg, Maryland overwhelmingly voted to ratify a new three-year contract.

With the newly ratified contract, Maryland Plastics members will now receive many additional perks to their existing contract. This includes a yearly across-the-board wage increase for the life of the contract, preserved affordable healthcare, and other items. Most notably, members can now enjoy their birthday as a paid personal holiday, and members with less than three years of seniority gained a week of vacation, and members with more than three years of seniority received an additional PTO day.

UFCW Local 152 represents about 30 members at Maryland Plastics in Federalsburg, which has been operating for over 65 years. Maryland Plastics offers a large assortment of plastics, ranging from plastic party and tableware to moldings for automotives.
