On Wednesday, October 10th, UFCW Local 152 members of Spring Oak Assitated Living in Vineland, New Jersey unanimously ratified a new contract with a vote of 31-0.

With the newly ratified contract, Spring Oak of Vineland members will experience across-the-board wage increases every year for the lifetime of the contract. The minimum starting rate for new hires was raised, which bumped current member wages; likewise, long-term members will also see a longevity pay increase to reward them for their years of service. Finally, the night shift differential was substantially raised, and paid time off (PTO) increased for both full-time and part-time members.

Overall, the three-year contract introduced many great new perks for our members – all guaranteed because of their union contract.

Congratulations to our members and the Negotiating Committee: Assistant Director of Collective Bargaining Dan Ross, Jr, Director of Field Services Peggy Kelly (not pictured), Union Representative Edna Inge, and members Ana Hoyos and Lucy Maldonado.

UFCW Local 152 represents about forty certified nursing assistants (CNAs), certified medical assistant (CMAs), dietary aides, housekeeping/laundry aides, activity coordinators, and maintenance workers at Spring Oak Assisted Living’s Vineland location.
