On Monday, April 26th, about fifty UFCW Local 152 members at the famed Taylor Provisions in Trenton, New Jersey ratified a new union contract!

With the new contract, members will receive an immediate ratification bonus of $2,500! This comes in addition to yearly wage increases, a second bonus in 2024, and the company agreeing to continue to pay for the full cost of their current health and welfare plan. Way to go!

The new, four-year agreement will also give members the opportunity to voluntarily purchase supplemental benefits (such as disability insurance and life insurance) if they choose. Finally, language was established to comply with New Jersey Earned Sick Leave policies.

Congratulations to our members at Taylor Provisions and the Negotiating Committee! This included Assistant Director of Collective Bargaining Lisa Sanders, Union Representative Greg Torian, Shop Steward Shiela Brown, and Committeeperson Christopher Cruz. Great job, everyone!

Taylor Provisions is best known for the well-known “Taylor Ham” pork roll and other meat products. Taylor Pork Roll was originally developed in 1856 by John Taylor of Hamilton Square, NJ, and sold as “Taylor Ham.” Whether you say “pork roll” or “Taylor ham,” we can agree that it’s delicious, and proudly made by UFCW Local 152 members!
