On Thursday, April 28th, twenty workers from Case’s Pork Roll in Trenton, New Jersey stood united and ratified a strong new union contract!

The new agreement guarantees a large, immediate wage increase for members at the top of the wage progression scale, with additional annual raises. Members are now guaranteed a 35-hour workweek, ensuring they will have a more predictable schedule and weekly pay.

Members will keep the same great health care they have always had, but now prepaid legal will be added as a bonus benefit at no cost to our members! Additionally, these workers have the opportunity to voluntarily contribute to supplemental benefits, giving them the option to purchase additional insurance (such as life insurance for their families). Finally, the company will continue to maintain pension contributions at its current level.

Congratulations to our members and the Negotiating Committee, including Assistant Director of Collective Bargaining Lisa Sanders, Union Representative Greg Torian, and Shop Steward James Grant. Job well done.
