Old Fashioned Kitchen Workers Ratify New Union Contract – 1/14/2026

Old Fashioned Kitchen workers at their contract ratification meeting, 2026.

On Wednesday, January 14, nearly fifty workers at Old Fashioned Kitchen in Lakewood, New Jersey ratified a new union contract!

The new three-year agreement improves the lives of our members in various ways.

All members at Old Fashioned Kitchen will receive an across-the-board wage increase, along with guaranteed yearly increases for the life of the contract. Additionally, all members will receive a one-time ratification bonus, and members with more than ten years of service will receive a one-time longevity bonus.

Through hard bargaining, the Employer agreed to increase contributions to the Supplemental Pension and Savings Fund, which will provide our members with the means to plan for a more comfortable retirement. Affordable union healthcare was maintained.

Finally, bereavement leave was expanded and, new for this contract, all disciplines will roll off after one year.

Congratulations to our members at Old Fashioned Kitchen! This ratification would not have been possible without the union negotiating committee, which included Bargaining Representative Peter White, Union Representative Jose Echevarria, Shop Steward Orlando Figueroa, and committee member Tinu Patel.
