Members at Aunt Kitty’s Stand United and Ratify New Union Contract – 3/15/2025

Aunt Kitty's members voting on the contract, 2025.

On Saturday, March 15, more than sixty members at Aunt Kitty’s Foods in Vineland, New Jersey, united to ratify a new union contract!

The three-year term creates considerable positive change for the Aunt Kitty’s Foods members. First, all members will receive an immediate across-the-board wage increase with back pay to July 2024, in addition to annual wage increases for the life of the contract. Shift differentials were also increased. The workers were moved into a new affordable healthcare plan that includes life insurance, prepaid legal services, and a Health Reimbursement Account.

Finally, in an effort to create a better work/life balance, the members at Aunt Kitty’s can now take vacation days in full weeks or single days as needed. Some eligible employees will also be able to “cash out” some unused vacation time at the end of each year.

Congratulations to these members and those on our negotiating committee! The union committee included President Daniel Ross, Jr., Executive Vice President Lisa Sanders, Executive Assistant to the President Danette Montes-Palmore, Union Representative Greg Torian, Chief Steward Benny Lopez, Shop Steward Joe Barnes, and committee member Joy Perez.
