Members at George Wells Meat Company Unanimously Ratify New Contract – 5/11/2022

Part of the Negotiating Committee for the George Wells Meat Company contract in 2022.

On Wednesday, May 11th, workers at George Wells Meat Company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania stood together to unanimously ratify a new union contract!

With the new three-year contract, all members will receive an immediate wage increase in addition to competitive annual raises. Furthermore, the employer will now contribute more money to each employee’s 401(k) plan, which will help our members face a more secure retirement. Finally, members at George Wells will continue to have 100% employer-paid medical for the life of the contract!

Congratulations to our members and those on the Negotiating Committee, including Assistant Director of Collective Bargaining Lisa Sanders, Union Representative Greg Torian, Shop Steward Anthony Ditheodore, and Committeeperson David Pecunia.

UFCW Local 152 proudly represents about fifteen workers at George Wells Meat Company, a wholesale supplier of red meats, seafood, and poultry. Our members work in production at the facility in Philadelphia.
