On Wednesday, April 15, the workers at Case’s Pork Roll in Trenton, New Jersey, ratified a new union contract. Congratulations!
All members will receive a substantial across-the-board wage increase, as well as guaranteed increases annually for the duration of the four-year contract. Their affordable union healthcare was also preserved.
With the implementation of the new contract, members at Case’s Pork Roll will receive other improvements as well. Members will now accrue their yearly vacation weeks faster and will receive an increase to their employer-funded pension contributions annually. Funeral leave was expanded to give additional time off, and all members will receive an additional paid holiday. Finally, these workers can also opt in to voluntarily contribute to the Active Ballot Club.
Congratulations to our members for this monumental win! This contract would not have been possible without the union negotiating committee, which included Director of Collective Bargaining Louis Faiola, Bargaining Representative Peter White, Union Representative Ernest Dunmore, Shop Steward James Grant, and committee member Fidel Huitz.
