On Saturday, June 13, nearly one hundred workers at Tyson Foods in Vineland, New Jersey, ratified a new union contract! Congratulations!
In the new three-year agreement, all members have guaranteed wage increases annually for the life of the contract in addition to a ratification bonus. The second shift’s differential rate was also increased. Those who work a shift that goes into another block will now earn that shift’s differential. Finally, funeral leave was expanded.
Congratulations to our members at Tyson Foods! This contract would not have been possible without the union negotiating committee, which included Director of Bargaining Louis Faiola, Bargaining Representative Chad Brooks, Union Representative Carilisse Lopez, and Shop Stewards Aneudy Negron and Juan Ortiz.
