President Ross Attends State Ceremony to Pass Pro-Worker Bills into Law

President Ross attending pro-labor bill signing, 2025.

Last month, President Daniel Ross Jr. was invited to Trenton when two important, pro-worker bills were signed into law.

The first bill, A1682/S1054, will ensure that students in grades 6 through 12 will have the opportunity to learn about the history of the labor movement, the collective bargaining process, and unions’ critical role in building the middle class.

The second bill, A4429/S3302, makes it clear that employers cannot mandate employees to participate in “captive audience” meetings regarding the decision to join or support a labor organization. Such mandatory meetings are a historic anti-worker tactic some employers use to try and dissuade and threaten employees from forming or joining a union.

These bills are a BIG win for working families in New Jersey!
