Workers at Goya Foods in Pedricktown, NJ Ratify New Union Contract – 12/01/2025

The union negotiating committee for Goya Foods in Pedricktown, NJ in 2025.

On Monday, December 1, forty workers at Goya Foods in Pedricktown, New Jersey ratified a new union contract!

The new contract brings significant improvements for Goya Foods’ workers. All members will receive an immediate, across-the-board wage increase, as well as guaranteed increases annually for the five-year agreement. Additionally, the union bargaining committee was able to increase differentials, which are stacked with the yearly increases.

Goya Foods agreed to contribute more money to the UFCW Local 152 Savings Plan, allowing our members to plan for a more comfortable retirement. Finally, funeral leave was expanded, and the affordable union healthcare was preserved.

Congratulations to our members at Goya Foods! This would not have been possible without the union negotiating committee: Collective Bargaining Representative Chad Brooks, Executive Assistant to the President Danette Montes-Palmore, Shop Steward Luis Vazquez, and committee members Jose Vazquez and Miguel Delgado.

UFCW Local 152 represents about forty workers at the Goya Foods warehouse in Pedricktown, New Jersey. These members work as Hi-Lo operators and warehousemen. Local 152 also represents about 200 workers at the plant in Jersey City, New Jersey.
