On Saturday, December 20, approximately fifty workers at Barry Callebaut USA in Pennsauken, New Jersey ratified a new union contract. Congratulations!
The new contract guarantees that all members at Barry Callebaut will receive the highest wage increase ever achieved immediately, in addition to substantial annual increases for the duration of the three-year term. Furthermore, workers with more than fifteen years of service will be paid a longevity differential.
Through hard bargaining, the negotiating committee was able to maintain the affordable union healthcare at no increase.
Congratulations to our members! This contract would not have been possible without the union negotiating committee, which included Director of Collective Bargaining Lou Faiola, Bargaining Representative Chad Brooks, Union Representative Matte Kane, Shop Stewards Jerry Cheever, Christian Algarin, Brian McNair, and committee members Pete Filiche and Jose L. Mercado.
