UFCW Local 152 has partnered with the Village ShopRite store in Somers Point, NJ and the Perlmart ShopRite stores in Lacey, Waretown and Bayville, NJ to “Stamp Out Hunger”!

The Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is a national campaign lead by the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) to end hunger around the country. UFCW, being the largest food union, is a national partner in this effort. Now in its 27th year, we believe that together we can help feed families in our own backyard!

Internationally, the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) is the largest food union in America, representing about 1.4 million members. UFCW Local 152 represents nearly 15,000 people across four states, including Village ShopRite and Perlmart ShopRite. The National Association of Letter Carriers is the labor union representing all U.S. Postal Service workers, such as your friendly mail carrier. Joining together, we hope you’ll consider purchasing a bag at one of the participating stores to help “Stamp Out Hunger” in South Jersey!

How To Participate

Participating is easy. Customers can visit any of the four ShopRite stores named above and purchase a $5.00, pre-filled paper bag. Before your letter carrier arrives on the morning of Saturday, May 11th, place the paper bag by your mailbox for him or her to pick up and bring to a nearby food bank. It’s that simple to make a real difference!
