On Friday, October 10, fish cutters and packers at Samuels Seafood in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania ratified a new union contract.
With the new contract, these union members can look forward to guaranteed wage increases annually for the duration of the five-year agreement, as well as a one-time ratification bonus. The union committee succeeded in maintaining our members’ affordable healthcare. Finally, senior employees gained an additional personal day.
Congratulations to our members on this great win! This contract could not have been achieved without the union negotiating committee, which included Director of Collective Bargaining Louis Faiola, Union Representative Ernest Dunmore, and Shop Steward Chad Harper, and committee members Antonio Fontanez and Tuan Tran.
