Have you heard that in addition to the Associate degree program, the UFCW Free College Benefit has recently added a brand new Bachelor’s degree program? Just like the Associate program, it’s completely FREE!
We know that the idea of going back to school can be overwhelming, especially in this period of uncertainty. That’s why we will be hosting a free virtual information session for this new program on May 13!
Free Bachelor’s Program
Thanks to a partnership with Central State University (CSU), UFCW members can now pursue their Bachelor’s degree! This program is available to all students who have already earned an associate degree or have at least 60 college credits.
Note: If you have not yet earned an associate degree or are just getting started, please begin with the UFCW Free College Benefit at Eastern Gateway Community College. Once completed, you can transfer into the Bachelor’s Degree programs at CSU!
Info Session
We will be hosting an info session on Thursday, May 13th at 6:00pm. This is a great opportunity for you to learn about the program, the courses of study, and ask any questions you may have, including the application process, FAFSA — anything! If you’re considering continuing your education, you won’t want to pass on this free, virtual event.

The Free College Benefit ensures that UFCW Local 152 members and their families do not have to pay out of pocket for any tuition, fees, or e-books at Eastern Gateway Community College (for the Associate degree) and Central State University (for the Bachelor’s degree)—resulting in cost savings of thousands of dollars! The benefit covers any amount for tuition, fees, or books that is not covered by federal or employer education grants.
Children (or stepchildren), grandchildren (or step-grandchildren), spouses, domestic partners, and financial dependents of members are also eligible for the Free College Benefit. Even retired UFCW members are eligible!
