This Privacy Policy is here to explain how UFCW Local 152 may use the information contained and collected on our website, which includes using our mobile texts function and third-party sites or platforms such as social networking sites, and to explain how we use information that you may provide while visiting our website.

This privacy notice describes how and why we might collect, store, use, and/or share your information when you use our services such as (but not limited to) visiting this website, ufcwlocal152.org. By using this site, you agree to our terms.

TEXT MESSAGES AND EMAILS

Information We Collect

When you opt-in to receive text messages or emails from UFCW Local 152 (either through your membership application, in a survey, or verbally), we may collect:

  • your cell phone number and/or email
  • any additional information you voluntarily provide

As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider. Message frequency can vary.

How We Use Your Information

We use your cell phone number and/or email to send important updates and communication related to UFCW Local 152 activity. This can include contract negotiations, events, important alerts, and more.

We share cell phone numbers and/or emails with entities affiliated with UFCW Local 152, including, but not limited to FORZA Insurance Group, which offers our members supplemental insurance, and the UFCW Local 152 Health and Welfare Fund. This is so these entities may directly contact our members about their services. You can opt out of this correspondence directly.

We never sell mobile numbers or emails we collect.

Opting Out of SMS Messages

You may cancel the texting service at any time. Simply reply “STOP” to the phone number from which you received a text message. After you send the SMS message “STOP” to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. You can also alert a union representative that you no longer wish to receive texts, or call our office at 888-564-6152 and request to stop receiving text messages.

If you want to join again, simply reply “START” to the phone number you received messages from and we will start sending SMS messages to you again. You can also alert a union representative that you want to receive messages or call the union office at 888-564-6152 and the service will be reinstated.

Opting Out of Emails

You can cancel the email service at any time. Simply scroll to the bottom of any email, click the “UNSUBSCRIBE” button, and follow any prompts.

Information We Collect

When you visit UFCW Local 152’s website, we automatically obtain information about your usage including, for example:

  • the website that referred you to us
