Special Projects Union Representative (SPUR)

Tim Daly’s union journey began in 2022 when he worked as a processor at The Botanist in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. He was part of the union negotiations committee, helping to set up the first union contract at his job.

After the contract was ratified, Tim became a Shop Steward. His work responsibilities grew to include harvest, post-harvest, drying, curing cannabis, and cultivation duties. Later, Tim became the Chief Shop Steward, representing members in all departments at the facility, before ultimately moving to the dispensary, focusing on the retail sale of cannabis. Tim’s experience covers the whole cannabis process, from seed to sale. Tim is committed to fighting the stigma around cannabis and, through the union, creating lasting career paths.

In August 2026, Tim joined UFCW Local 152 as a Special Projects Union Representative (SPUR) and is part of the organizing team. In this role, Tim assists with organizing campaigns, worker outreach and engagement, and educating workers about their rights and the benefits of having a voice on the job. Drawing on his own experience organizing with his coworkers and serving as a union steward, Tim works directly with workers who are looking to make positive changes in their workplaces and build a union of their own.
