On Monday, April 14, more than thirty workers at the City of Long Branch in Monmouth County, New Jersey ratified a new union contract!
The three-year contract improves the lives of our members in various ways.
First, all members will receive annual wage increases for the contract’s duration, including a retroactive increase from January 2025. The on-call pay for all snow, storm, and tree-related after-hours emergencies was doubled. Additionally, the committee negotiated a brand new yearly boot allowance. Finally, Juneteenth was added as a paid holiday.
Congratulations to our members at the City of Long Branch! We’d like to recognize the union negotiating committee on this achievement, which included Collective Bargaining Representative Chad Brooks, Director of Organizing Mike Thompson, Shop Stewards Shannon Bruno and George Hussey, and committee person Vinny Todaro.
