The UFCW Local 152 Women’s Network will be hosting a Teddy Bear Drive for The Arc (formerly known as the Association for Retarded Citizens).

The Arc is a grassroots organization dedicated to advocating for the rights and full participation of all children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Arc has over 800 chapters across the United States, offering assistance to those with Down syndrome and/or learning and developmentally disabled children and adults, as well as offering support to the families and caregivers of these special individuals.

The Arc of Burlington County (located in Delran, NJ) is asking for new teddy bears or stuffed animals to give to their members at the annual holiday party they host. Our goal is to collect 200 teddy bears or stuffed animals!  While shopping this holiday season, please consider picking up a stuffed animal for such a worthy cause. I can guarantee you it will become someone’s new best friend!

Teddy bears and stuffed animals can be dropped off to your Shop Steward and arrangements will be made for pickup. You can also drop your donation off directly to our office. Please get your donations to our office by Wednesday, December 7, 2022.
