Catelli Brothers 2025 Union Contract Negotiations Updates
Local 152 has created this webpage to communicate updates on the progress of contract negotiations directly to its rank-and-file membership.

Update 8: October 3
Sisters and Brothers, as you know, on Thursday 10/02 a new 3-year CBA passed by 2/3 majority. The new contract includes the largest across the board increases, reduction of health care deductibles, added bereavement pay, double time for call in pay, and a guarantee to institute a matrix program for job classifications (adding wage adjustments to established job classifications).
Your negotiating team put in multiple added sessions and stood firm on many basic principles of the contract, demanding that your ownership group “do better”. All members stayed in unison through the extended process, proving strength in UNITY.
Local 152 has already reached out to the company to establish meeting dates to begin the Classification Matrix process, as we are anticipating raising more wages through identifying areas of production requiring such adjustments. Stay tuned as we progress forward.

Update 7: September 25
Tentative Agreement Reached
Your union negotiation committee is proud to announce that they have reached a tentative agreement for a new contract!
This agreement signifies the largest negotiated general wage increases that have ever been achieved with Catelli Brothers. It also includes a pathway to create job classifications that can reward higher skill sets with additional compensation.
We are now in the process of compiling a signed memorandum to present to the rank and file membership for approval.
This would not have been possible without your solidarity and your committee’s hard work and dedication to their coworkers!
More information to come.

Update 6: September 11
September 10th Meeting Update
Yesterday, the parties had productive discussions about long-term goals and the need for appropriate increases now. Your committee left the bargaining table yesterday feeling that progress was made toward shaping a path to a deal.
The company left yesterday afternoon committing to have additional conversations with the leadership team at Preval AG about enhancing their investments into the workforce.
Stay united! More information to follow.

Update 5: September 10
September 8th Meeting Update
Your committee is back to the table today with the full intention of making significant progress.
On September 8th, President Ross sent communication to Alexandre Fontaine at Préval AG, informing him of the lack of progress and the importance of your need for industry standard increases.
Hopefully this message is taken seriously and helps move the parties closer to an agreement you can be proud of!
More information to come.

Update 4: September 5
September 3rd Meeting Update
Your UFCW committee met with the company late into the evening on Wednesday, September 3rd.
While a small degree of progress was made, we are still far apart on the economic terms needed for your committee to recommend a new deal.
Your committee pointed out the fact that our cost-of-living and company-controlled healthcare increased significantly.
Higher labor rates are essential to recruit and retain a quality workforce. If the Company is investing in the infrastructure of the business, why shouldn’t they invest in you?
We are scheduled to meet again on Wednesday, September 10th. Local 152 is preparing for next steps should significant progress not be made at the next bargaining session.
Stay united in your desire for the contract you’ve earned!

Update 3: September 3
Your union committee is scheduled to meet with the company this afternoon.
The UFCW committee will continue to drive home the message that investing into our rank-and-file members is the greatest investment the company can make for the future of the operations. You deserve market wage increases that keep up with industry standards.
Stay united in your desire for the contract you’ve earned!

Update 2: August 21
The parties met again yesterday. Small progress was made and the parties are scheduled to meet again right after Labor Day.
Your union committee spent the majority of the day explaining to the company that making investments into the infrastructure of the plant and the overall business is refreshing to see, but their current counterproposals still lack the proper investment into their greatest asset — our rank-and-file members!
Stay united as your union committee strives to bargain the best contract possible for you and your families.

Update 1: August 19
Your Union negotiating committee met with Catelli Brothers on August 7 and 14.
Your committee presented appropriate Employee Investment Proposals to the company. These were based on feedback received from members on the contract proposal surveys, as well as trends in the labor market.
Wage increases, overtime pay, and concerns with the current health coverage offered to employees were all included in the proposal.
The parties are scheduled to meet again tomorrow, August 20th. We are hopeful that Catelli’s is ready to make meaningful progress. You deserve to be properly rewarded for the services you provide to the company.
