Jose Echevarria

Retired VP/Union Representative

Jose Echevarria began his journey as a union member in 1987 as an employee of Goya Foods, Inc. in West Deptford, New Jersey. He served as a shop steward for many years with Goya Foods before joining the staff at UFCW Local 152 in June 2005 as an organizer.

Today, Jose has been a UFCW union member for over 30 years and currently holds the position of VP/Union Representative. He also serves on the Executive Board of UFCW Local 152, helping make fundamental decisions on behalf of the Local. He represented many manufacturing facilities in southern New Jersey and Philadelphia.

Jose retired from UFCW Local 152 in early 2026. He will be missed!
