Matte Kane

Union Representative and Legislative & Political Representative

Matte Kane’s union journey began in 1987 at Super Fresh. He worked in many stores in coastal, southern New Jersey including Cape May Court House, North Wildwood, Northfield, and Ocean City holding positions ranging from POS clerk to Assistant Director. He was also elected Shop Steward of his store.

In October 2016, Matte joined the staff at Local 152 as a Special Projects Union Representative (S.P.U.R.) in Organizing.  Today, Matte is a Union Representative with the Local and handles all political events for UFCW Local 152. He is a lifetime advocate for working families.
